I enjoy reading history, in particular military history. I also enjoy playing history themed strategy games. The blog is mostly for me. It is a way for me to add more writing into my life. I really don’t have any other goals besides writing about the things I like doing.

A note about the title of my blog. I don’t consider myself very good at the games I enjoy playing. If you are looking for a blog on how to get good at strategy gaming, you’re in the wrong place. This is a blog about playing the game, not about playing it well. It is the experience of playing and the story it tells that I enjoy. I not looking for optimal play strategies or trying to “min max” games. I’m just playing for the story. You will likely see spectacular strategic blunders and the occasional brilliant move. It’s all part of the story.
The primary content will be blogging about historical strategy gaming. This will include an update on the progress of my games and what I have learned about the history. I may also blog about what I have been reading or other interesting media I run across. The truth is I really do not have big plans or a long range vision. I’m going to just start writing and see where it takes me.
